Enabling and disabling TU fragment matches

upLIFT technology facilitates the retrieval of translation units (TUs) at fragment level. TU fragments are a sub-division of TU segments. TU fragments help you translate text with more ease and more accuracy. To receive TU fragment matches or hits while translating, you must first ensure this option is enabled.

About this task

TU fragment matching is enabled by default. If you decide to disable it, you can reenable it any time.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
  2. Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
  3. In the Editor view, on the Home tab, select Project Settings.
  4. In the Project Settings dialog, in the navigation tree, select Language Pairs > All Language Pairs/[language.pair.name] > Translation Memory and Automated Translation > Search.
