Exporting files for review in native format
Reviewers can check the translated file in a bilingual, *.sdlxliff format, but also in its native format. Use the command to specify the export file format and save the exported file into a folder separate from the project.
About this task
The Export Files batch task can be run at any point during the project life cycle.
Procedure
- Go to the Projects view and select the project whose file(s) you want tot export in native format.
- Go to the Files view and select the file you want to export in its native format.
- Go to the Home tab, and in the File Actions group, select .
- On the Batch Tasks page of the Batch Processing wizard, select Next.
- On the Files page, consult the files which will be processed.
- Select Next.
- On the Settings page:
- Select Browse to specify the location where the exported files will be saved. The default location path is: C:\Documents and Settings\[User name]\My Documents\Export Files\[Target Language Code].
- Select which format you want to export the file to. For this task, select Target version.
- Target version - Exports the file in the format in which it was originally created.
- Latest bilingual version - Exports the file as a bilingual
*.sdlxlifffile. - Current version - Exports the file in the current format that the file is in at this point in the project.
- Select Close.
