File> Options> Editor> Font Adaptation

Use the Editor > Font Adaptation settings to control how document text is displayed in the Editor window. They do not affect the translated file.

To display the Editor > Font Adaptation settings, select File > Options from the Ribbon, and then select Editor > Font Adaptation from the navigation tree in the Options dialog.

Font Adaptation

Use these settings to resize the font (text) in the source and target segments in Editor window.

Adapt font sizes

Select this option if you want Trados Studio to resize fonts.

Minimum source font size

Trados Studio displays all text in this font size or larger in the source language segments. Smaller text is displayed in this font size.

Maximum source font size

Trados Studio displays all text in this font size or smaller in the source language segments. Larger text is displayed in this font size.

Minimum target font size

Trados Studio displays all text in this font size or larger in the target language segments. Smaller text is displayed in this font size.

Maximum target font size

Trados Studio displays all text in this font size or smaller in the target language segments. Larger text is displayed in this font size.

Adapt text colors

Select this option if you want Trados Studio to adapt the contrast when it displays colored text.

Text color contrast

Use this slider bar to change the contrast that Trados Studio uses to display colored text. The effect of the slider bar setting is displayed in the box on the right.

Custom Language Fonts

Here you can specify the font used for a specific language.

OptionDescription
LanguageSpecify the language for which you want to specify a particular font.
FontSpecify the font to be used with this particular language. However, if a particular text format is already specified for a file, this may override the settings that you make here.
