Files View screen layout and functionality
The Files view contains several components.
Procedure
- Ribbon tabs which contain Trados Studio commands organized into groups.
- Ribbon groups which contain all the commands relevant for working with project files in Trados Studio.
- The Files view layout which shows the files available in the selected project considering the file filter criteria selected on the navigation pane. Double-click on a project file to open it for translation in the Editor view. To open the file for review or sign-off, right-click on the project file and select Open for Review or Open for Sign Off from the context menu. You can control the screen layout to change the order in which Trados Studio displays the files by moving, adding and removing columns or by sorting and grouping data. - A set of tabbed windows that appear at the bottom of the screen. These include a File Details, Analysis Statistics, Confirmation Statistics, Task History, and a File attributes window.
- The View navigation buttons from where you can switch to other view and access Trados Studio functionality related to that view.
- Navigation pane, from where you can filter the what files are displayed in the Files view layout.
You have many options for personalizing the Files view. For example, you can resize, rearrange and hide the windows to suit the way you work.
