Generating termbase templates when creating termbases

When you create termbases, you can save the termbase definition as termbase template. When you create another termbase, the termbase template you generated and saved appears in the template list, on the Termbase definition page.

Procedure

  1. In Trados Studio, select Sign in in the top-right corner to connect to your cloud account.
  2. Log in with your RWS ID credentials. Trados Studio shows all the cloud accounts that you are a member of.
  3. Select your cloud account name from the drop-down menu, and then select RWS Account at the bottom of the window. This opens your cloud account in your default browser where you are prompted to log in.
  4. In the cloud environment, go to the Terminology view or to the Projects > Resources > Termbases.
  5. Select New Termbase.
  6. Select and specify the information on the Termbase information, Termbase definition, Language fields and Fields and structure pages.
  7. Select Next.
  8. On the Summary page, select the Save as a reusable termbase template to reuse the termbase definition for a new termbase. Enter a name for your termbase template.
  9. Select Create.

What to do next

You can now move on to create other termbases based on the template you have just saved.
