Generating verification results with batch tasks

Verification results consist of errors and inconsistencies in translated or reviewed work. You can generate verification results at once with the help of batch tasks.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Projects view and select a project.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Tasks group, select Batch Tasks > Verify Files.
  3. In the Batch Processing wizard, on the Batch Tasks page, select the Verify Files task, if not already selected.
  4. Select Next.
  5. On the Files page, consult all the files for the active project.
  6. Review the list of files that will be processed by the selected batch task or task sequence. You cannot add or remove files here. If the file list is not correct, close the Batch Processing wizard and select the required files in the Files view before starting the wizard again.
  7. Select Next.
  8. On the Settings page, in the navigation tree, select Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Batch Processing > Verify Files.
    1. Make sure the verification providers are enabled. Select Verification from the left-hand side tree, and in the Verification window (on the right-hand side), select or clear the checkboxes corresponding to QA Checker 3.0, Tag verification, Terminology Verifier.
    2. Specify settings for Tag verification and Terminology Verifier. Select Verification > Tag verification / Terminology Verifier and specify the settings.
    3. Decide whether you want to specify QA Checker 3.0 verification settings for:
      • All language pairs - If you specify verification settings at this level, these will apply to all project files, irrespective of the language pair combination. Select Verification > QA Checker 3.0
      • Specific language pairs - If you choose to specify verification settings for specific language pairs, make sure you specify them, for all the available language combinations. Select Language Pairs, select a language pair, select Verification > QA Checker 3.0.
  9. Specify the settings. Choose if you want the report to include any verification messages that the were chosen to be ignored from the Verifier window.
You might want to include these ignored messages in the report so that you or someone else can double-check that these verification errors do not need to be fixed and were correctly chosen to be ignored.
  10. Select Finish to verify the files.
  11. When the verification is complete, select Task Results to see the any error messages and reports produced from the verification.
  12. When finished, select Close.
