Identifying unsaved files
Save frequently while you work and save again after you finish editing a file. Trados Studio and later can also automatically save your files at regular intervals that you specify. However, the AutoSave feature is intended for unplanned disruptions, such as a power outage, and is does not substitute manual savings.
When you save manually, you can only save the active file. The active file is the one currently displayed in the Editor window. To save a file that is not currently the active file, make it the active file and then save it.
When you start to edit a file, or when you restore an AutoSaved file, an asterisk (*) is added to the file name in the navigation pane, for example, .
When you save the file, the asterisk is removed and will only reappear if you edit the file again. This means that you can easily see which files contain unsaved edits as these are the ones that have the asterisk.
