Measurements
Use the Measurements Units dialog to view or edit a list of measurement units for the current language.
Trados Studio uses a default list of measurements for source and target languages. During translation, the items on this list are identified as placeables instead of normal, translatable words. You can add your own custom measurements, but make sure to update the list for both the source and target languages of a TM. This ensures that Trados Studio can create a 1:1 correspondence between the non-translatable items in the source and target documents and will not trigger QA Checker errors and TM penalties.
For example, add "min/km" as custom measurement unit for the source and target language of your TM. Patterns like "8.34 min/km" will be considered placeables and QA Checker can verify if these non-translatable items exist both in the source and target segments.
