Navigating comments
You can navigate the file by moving from one segment with a comment to the next segment with a comment, or by moving from comment to comment.
Procedure
- Open a file for review or open a file for sign-off.
- Display the Comments window.
- If the Comments window is minimized at the bottom of the side-by-side Editor as a tab, select the Comments tab.
- If the Comments window is not displayed at the bottom of the side-by-side Editor as a tab, select View tab, and then in the Information group, select Comments.
- Double-click a comment. If the comment was added for a segment or selected text, the Editor window jumps to that segment or text. If the comment was added for the whole document, the Editor window jumps to the start of the first segment in the file.
Note: If you sort the comments in the Comments window on ID column, you can move through each comment in the order they appear in your file. If you want to know the location of the comment or check the text it refers to, simply double-click the comment.
- Navigating from one segment with a comment to the next
When you navigate from one segment with a comment to the next, you will only move to the first comment in a segment. If there are any more comments in the segment, you will skip these when you continue to navigate and move straight to the next segment containing a comment. - Navigating from one comment to the next
When you navigate from one comment to the next, you will move to every comment in the file.
