Opening a file-based TM that is not in the Navigation Tree

You can open a local, file-based translation memory (TM) even if it is not currently located in the navigation tree.

Procedure

  1. In the Translation Memories view, select File > Open > Open Translation Memory.
  2. In the Open Translation Memory dialog, navigate to the location of the *.sdltm file, select the file, and then select Open. The TM is added to the Translation Memories folder in the navigation tree and is also opened for editing in the TM side-by-side editor window. The TM becomes the .

If the TM is password-protected, in the Translation Memory Password dialog, select the highest access mode for which you have a password, enter the password, and then select OK.
