Repetitions
A repetition is defined as any fuzzy or no match that appears more than once.
The first time a repetition occurs it will usually require full translation, which will classify it as a fuzzy or no match. This means that the second and any subsequent time it occurs, it will be a 100% or even a context match.
Repetitions can be counted across files if the option "cross-file repetitions" is checked. This means that even if a repetition is not in the same file, it will still be counted as a repetition even if it occurs in a separate file.
Exact matches with a penalty applied (such as formatting or multiple translation penalty) are still regarded as exact matches, so they will not be counted as repetitions even if they are classed as 98% fuzzy match, for example.
Any segment that contains identical terms but different numbers will still be counted as a repetition.
Example
- I have 3 apples and 2 oranges. ← this is a no match in an empty TM
- I have 4 apples and 5 oranges. ← this will be counted as a repetition
