Procedure

  1. Go to the Projects view and select the project you want to work on.
  2. Go to the Files view and double-click the file you want to work on.
  3. Go to the Home tab > Editing group > Replace.
  4. Select Use Wildcards and make your changes.

Example: text replacement using wildcards

You can use the following wildcards:
  • Use a question mark ? wildcard to match a single character at the current position.
  • Use an asterisk * wildcard to match zero or more characters at the current position.

For example, searching for ' tea*coffee' would match:

'tea and coffee'

'tea or coffee'

'tea, coffee'
