Reviewing TQA items

As a translator, you may receive a document containing translation quality assessment (TQA) items back from review. You can view all TQA items at a glance before getting down to their details.

Procedure

  1. Open a file for review or open a file for sign-off.
  2. Do one of the following:

In the Translation Quality Assessment report

To see a detailed analysis on the TQAs available in one or more files, go to Home tab, and select Batch Tasks > Translation Quality Assessment. This generates a Translation Quality Assessment report in the Reports view.

The report shows general details about the files and whether your initial translation passed the TQA check. The reports also details the translation issues that the reviewer indicated using the TQA configuration attached to the project.

    In the TQAs window

You can quickly review the translation quality assessments created for the current project file in the TQAs window. The TQAs window is always present in the Editor view, unless you close it completely. To display the TQAs window, go to the View tab, and select TQAs.

Select a TQA row and change the category, severity and comment of the TQA.

In the Complete Review/Complete Sign-Off dialog

For files open for review or sign-off, you can select Complete Review or Complete Sign-off to get an overview of all TQAs in the file.

The Complete Review/Complete Sign-Off dialog enables you to make an overall evaluation of the file. Here you can also override the Pass/Fail result that Trados Studio calculated automatically based on the TQA configuration available for your project.
