Settings for translations using Single Document Command
You can perform a quick and easy setup for single document translations.
You can specify default settings that are applied when you create a new translation. You can specify:
- A default source language for new translations, which is useful if you always work with the same source language
- A default target language for new translations, which is useful if you always work with the same target language
- Whether or not you want to be asked to provide source and target language information when you are creating a new translation
- Whether the content of source segments is automatically copied to target segments when you open a file for the first time
- Default translation memory (TM) selections for each language pair you work with. The TMs are selected automatically when you create a new translation for the language pair.
The settings are displayed when you select from the Ribbon. In the Options dialog:
- Go to Editor to automatically copy source segment content to target segments.
- Go to to specify language options.
- Go to Language Pairs to consult or specify the default translation memory (TM) options.
