By default, whitespace characters appear as blank spaces in your translation memory (TM) text. You can show or hide the display of whitespace character in the TM side-by-side editor window of the Translation Memories view. You can also display whitespace characters as symbols, if needed.
Procedure
- Go to .
- In the navigation tree, select Translation Memories View.
- Decide whether you want to show or hide the whitespace characters:
- To display whitespace characters as symbols, select the Show whitespace characters checkbox.
- To stop displaying whitespace characters, clear the Show whitespace characters checkbox.
- Select OK to save the settings and close the Options dialog.
Note: You can also toggle whitespace characters on or off by clicking the designated button in the Editor view. To do this, go to the Editor view, and on the Home tab, in the Formatting group, select the Show Whitespace Characters button.
