Specifying trademark checks for QA Checker
Use the settings to ensure that the trademark and copyright characters you want to check are correctly transferred from source segments to target segments.
Before you begin
Make sure the QA Checker provider is enabled. To enable QA Checker, go to and select the QA Checker 3.0.
Procedure
- Choose where you want to specify the settings.
- To specify verification settings for your active project, go to Project Settings.
- To specify verification settings for your active project but only for a specific language pair, go to .
- To specify verification settings for all future projects, go to .
- To specify verification settings during batch tasks, go to the Projects view or the Files view, select Batch Tasks, choose a batch process and go to the Settings page.
- To specify verification settings in a project template, create a project template by going to the Projects view selecting Create Project Template from the Ribbon, then specify verification settings in the Project Template Settings dialog. You can also edit an existing project template.
- Select from the navigation tree.
- Select Trademark Check from navigation.
- Select the Check trademark characters checkbox.
- On the right-hand side of the Check trademark characters checkbox, choose a severity which will be associated to trademark errors: Error, Warning and Note.
- Use the Action area, to manage trademark characters:
- Add trademark characters - Enter a trademark character, and select .
- Update trademark characters - Select a trademark character, and select . This action allows you to replace the current trademark character with a new one.
- Remove trademark characters - Select a trademark character, and select . This action deletes individual trademarks.
- Clear trademark characters - Select . This action deletes all trademarks in one shot without any notification.
