Status of server connections

You can consult the status of server connections in the Servers dialog, to identify any issues that may occur.

To display the Servers dialog, select File > Setup > Servers. The Servers dialog displays the current status of all servers for which you have set up a connection.

The Status column indicates if the server is available to connect to:

  • Available - The server is available to connect to.
  • Authentication Failed - You user name and/or password is incorrect so you cannot connect to the server.
  • Windows Authentication is not supported via http - To connect to this server, you need to use GroupShare authentication and enter a user name and a password.
  • Unknown - The current status is unknown. Select Check Server Availability to see if you can connect to this server. If you cannot connect to the server, a message is displayed and the status remains Unknown. This may occur if you have incorrect server details, for example the wrong server address or if the server was shut down.
