Step 1 - Specifying settings for a Regulated Industry
Before you start a translation or create a translation project, you must specify the settings allowing you to work in the Regulated Industry workflow. The settings you specify in the Options dialog are automatically applied when you open a file or create a new project.
About this task
In addition to the settings needed for regulated industries, you can specify settings for file types, batch processing, AutoSuggest dictionaries, translation memories, termbases and automated translation providers.
Procedure
- Go to .
- Specify your usual settings that you want to use in this translation and future translations:
- To specify your file type settings, select File Types and make the necessary changes. These settings specify, for example, what parts of a file are extracted for translation.
- To specify what settings are used when you run batch processes, such as pre-translation, select .
- To specify the translation resources you want to use in your translation, select and the following resources:
- Translation Memory and Automated Translation to select TM and automated translation providers
- Termbases to select termbases
- To specify what AutoSuggest dictionaries are used, select Language Pairs. If the language pair for which you want to select a AutoSuggest dictionary is not listed, select Language Pairs from the navigation tree and select Add.
- When translating for a Regulated Industry, change your settings so you can work with files that have tracked changes in the source:
- Select from the navigation tree.
- From the Track changes extraction mode drop-down list, select Display pending changes.
- Select OK to save your changes and close the Options dialog.
