Step 4 - Generating translated files for a Regulated Industry
When your translation is finished, you can generate translated files in their original file format.
Procedure
- Go to the Projects view and select a project.
- Go to the Files view and double-click the file to open it in the Editor view.
- Go to File > Save Target As.
- In the Save Target As window:
- The location to which the file will be generated defaults to the same location where your source and bilingual files are saved in your project. If you want to change the location, select a different location from the Save in drop-down list.
- If you want to change the name of the target file, enter a different name in the File name box. This name automatically defaults to the name of the original source file.
- If you want to choose a different encoding, select one from the Encoding drop-down list.
Tip: Encoding settings for a file can be specified by the selected filter for that document or in the Active Document Settings dialog. The encoding settings specified in the Active Document Settings dialog are automatically selected when you use the Save Target As option.
- Select Save.
Tip: If your file contains tracked changes, those tracked changes appear in the final translated document for Microsoft Word 2007-2016 documents (
*.docx). For all other file types, tracked changes will automatically be accepted in your*.sdlxlifffile and then the final file is generated.
