Step 4 - Sending files for review from WorldServer in a Regulated Industry

After you finished translating a file and the changes are imported back into WorldServer from Trados Studio, the job is passed to the next phase of review.

These workflows enable you to send the job to reviewers using Trados Studio or Microsoft Word. You can then get, for example, a subject matter expert review to check the meaning in the translated text and a proofreader review to check for the spelling and punctuation.

For detailed instructions on how to perform these procedures in WorldServer, consult the WorldServer and Trados Studio Integration Guide.

Review in Trados Studio

In WorldServer, the Project Manager creates a WorldServer project package (*.wxsz), and then sends it to the Trados Studio user for review. The package also includes the QA Checker Profile configurations * set in WorldServer. These ensure that the same quality settings are used for all the files part of that WorldServer project.

Once reviewed, a return package can be created and uploaded to WorldServer. If further translation work is needed, the return package can be sent out for translation in Trados Studio again.

Bilingual review in Microsoft Word

If you are in a workflow where the reviewer does not have Trados Studio, you can export to an external review file in Microsoft Word format. You can then review the file in Word and update WorldServer with the corrections.

* Packages created in WorldServer 10.4 and higher.
