The TM Side-by-Side editor
- TM Side-by-Side Editor components
The TM side-by-side editor window in the Translation Memories view displays both the source and target segments of each translation unit (TU) in the active side-by-side translation memory (TM). The source language segments appear on the left and the target language segments on the right. The source and the target language segments of each TU can be edited. You can specify filters to display only those TUs that match the filter. - Translation unit status column (TM Side-by-Side Editor)
The translation unit status column appears in the left of the TM side-by-side editor window in the Translation Memories view. The column displays icons that provide information about the current status of the translation unit. When an icon is displayed in this column it means that a change has been made to the translation unit. These changes are pending until you commit them to the translation memory. Once the changes are committed the icons disappear. The icons indicate: - Document Structure Column (TM Side-by-Side Editor)
The document structure column appears in the TM side-by-side editor window in the Translation Memories view. For each translation unit, the document structure column contains a code that indicates where the source segment text appeared in the source document from which it was extracted. - Custom Field Values column (TM Side-by-Side Editor)
The Custom Field Values column appears on the right side of the TM side-by-side editor window, in the Translation Memories view. The column displays the custom field values that are assigned to the translation unit (TU). If there are no custom field values assigned to any TUs in the translation memory (TM), this column is not displayed.
