Translation Memory Password dialog

Use the Translation Memory Password dialog to enter login information to access the translation memories (TMs). Depending on what login information is used, different tasks can be performed on the TM.

This dialog is displayed when the file-based TM you have chosen to open is password protected.

Minimum Access Mode

In the Minimum Access Mode box, select the required access level (the levels available vary depending on the view you are working in).

To access the TM in the selected mode, you must have the password for the mode.

Password

Enter the password that corresponds to the access mode you have chosen and select OK.

Remember Password

Select this option if you wantTrados Studio to remember the password.

These are the available access modes:

Administrator

An administrator has complete access rights over the TM and its contents in all views.

Maintenance

A maintenance user can open the TM in any view. They can view, edit and delete translation units (TUs), and they can use the batch edit and delete tools to maintain TUs. However, they cannot perform imports and exports.

Translator

A translator can open the TM in the Editor view where they can edit and delete individual TUs. They can also add new TUs to the TM.

A translator cannot open the TM for maintenance in the Translation Memories view. However, a translator can view the TM settings.

Guest

A user with guest access can open the TM in the Editor view and work with the TM content. They cannot add, edit or delete TUs.

A guest cannot open the TM for maintenance in the Translation Memories view. However, a guest can view the language resource settings for the TM.
