XML Embedded content
Use the options on the Embedded Content page of your XML file type to configure where Trados Studio or later looks for embedded content in the XML file and what processor it uses to handle this embedded content.
Procedure
Process embedded content using the following processor
Tick this checkbox to process XML embedded content with one of the embedded content processors from the drop-down menu. By default, this list contains the three predefined embedded content processors available for XML file types: Plain Text and HTML 5. You can add additional embedded content processors to this list by Creating a New Embedded Content Processor.
About this task
*.xml file:
- For Plain Text embedded content processors, consult Configuring Plain Text Embedded Content Processors
- For HTML 5 embedded content processors, consult Configuring HTML 5 Embedded Content Processors
Process embedded content found in CDATA sections
Enable this option to set the selected embedded content processor to extract embedded content from CDATA sections. Trados Studio identifies and processes CDATA sections automatically so you do not need to make any further extraction settings on this page.
Process embedded content found in Document Structure Information
Enable this option to set the selected embedded content processors to extract embedded content from specific context. Use Add... to create extraction rules based on document structure information. Make sure that the document structure information you specify here is covered by a parser rule on the Parser page of your XML file type. Trados Studio can only extract embedded content that is recognized by the file type parser.
