Deleting groups

You can delete all default groups (except the Administrator group) and all the non-default groups. Deleting a group does not delete the users in that group. Once a group is deleted, the users in that group remain included in the other groups they are part of, can be added to other groups, and, if they are assigned to tasks, revisit the task assignment.

About this task

There are several types of groups:
  • Default groups in the Root folder (location) provisioned by the system, automatically: Administrator, Project Manager, Engineer, Terminologist.
  • Default group provisioned by the system, automatically, for each Customer folder you add: Customer Requesters.
  • Custom (non-default) groups for the following roles: Administrator, Project Manager, Translator, Engineer, Terminologist, Customer Requester Restricted.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Trados Team (by accessing this link: http://languagecloud.sdl.com/lc).
  2. Go to the Users view.
  3. Select the Groups sub-tab.
  4. Select the check box corresponding to the group you want to delete.
  5. Select Delete.
