Downloading target files

You can download the target project files in native format at any time from your Inbox. You can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box).

About this task

When you download target files:
  • The download can be performed any time during the project lifecycle.
  • The download is a *.zip archive.
  • The *.zip download consists of the target project files in native format.

Trados Studio does not support creating and working on projects which have the same source and target language. Local file download is restricted for these projects.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Trados Team (by accessing this link: http://languagecloud.sdl.com/lc).
  2. Go to the Inbox view.
  3. Select the Active tab.
  4. Identify the task and select the check box corresponding to the task row.
  5. Select the task to open it.
  6. In the [task_name] window:
    1. Select the Files sub-tab.
    2. Select the check box corresponding to the file of interest.
    3. Select Download.
    4. From the Download Project Files menu, select the Target Files check box. Download (export) the latest available translated content in one of the available formats: Current version (an *.sdlxliff with the latest translated content) or Native version (the native file format with the latest translated content). Note that if you select Target files, you can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box).
    5. Save the *.zip archive and unpack it to get the file.
  7. Alternatively, to download target files from the Projects view:
    1. Select the check box corresponding to the project of interest.
    2. Select Open.
    3. Go to the Files sub-tab.
    4. Select Download.
    5. From the Download Project Files menu, select the Target Files check box. Download the latest available translated content in one of the available formats: Current version (an *.sdlxliff with the latest translated content) or Native version (the native file format with the latest translated content). Note that if you select Target files, you can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box).
    6. Save the *.zip archive and unpack it to get the file.
