Editing settings for file type configurations
You can edit settings for most of the available file types. The changes you make to an existing file type configuration affect only the future project templates and projects it will be included in. Started projects are not affected by any of the changes you make to the file type configuration. If the file type of interest cannot be edited from Trados Team, import it with the settings already configured in Trados Studio.
Procedure
- Log in to Trados Team (by accessing this link: http://languagecloud.sdl.com/lc).
- Go to the Resources view.
- Select the File Type Configurations tab, and then select the check box corresponding to the file type configuration whose settings you want to edit. Note that if you want to work with the .NET Libraries file type or the XLIFF: Memsource xliff file type, you must select Add New File Type, choose these file types from the Additional file type list, and select Add.
- Select Edit.
- Identify the file type whose settings you want to edit.
