Force completing tasks

If are an Administrator, Lead Project Manager, or Project Manager, you can force complete any project task, even those not assigned to you, from the project Stages tab, at any time.

About this task

For a file to be fully translated, it must go through all the workflow tasks.

A file can move to the next task only after the task it is currently part of is completed. Administrators, Lead Project Managers, and Project Managers can force complete the tasks they do not own, namely the ones they did not accept.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Trados Team (by accessing this link: http://languagecloud.sdl.com/lc).
  2. Go to the Projects view, select the check box corresponding to the project you want to open, and select Open.
  3. Select the Stages tab, and then select the list view (The icon corresponding to the List view.) or tiles view (The icon corresponding to the Tiles view.).
  4. Identify the task or tasks you want to complete, and select their check box.
  5. Select Complete. A dialog prompts you to enter an additional comment, and then to select Complete again. The comment is passed on to the owner of (the person working on) the next task in the workflow.
The task disappears from the Active tab and can be checked in the Completed tab. The task then moves on to the next stage of the workflow. The owner of the next workflow task can check the comment by opening the task, selecting the Details tab, and expanding the Previous task comment menu in the right-hand side panel. Alternatively, if you are an Administrator, Lead Project Manager, or Project Manager, you can open the project, select either the Task History tab > task, or the Files tab > file version, and consult the information in the Previous task comment menu.
