Getting started
Before creating projects, you need to perform a series of prerequisites.
As project manager, you can perform a series of actions which precede project creation.
- Set up linguistic resources: translation memories (TMs), termbases (you cannot set up termbase templates), machine translation (MT), translation engines. You can work on setting up termbases yourself, but you would normally defer this responsibility to terminologists.
- Set up workflows.
- Set up file type configurations.
- Creating project templates and associate customer with project templates.
Your administrator or lead project manager can also perform any of the actions above. However, administrators and lead project managers are in charge of setting up: customers, translation management users and groups (project managers, translators, engineers).
