Migrating Trados Studio TBs to cloud

You can migrate Trados Studio TBs to cloud at any time.

Before you begin

Make sure the local import files are not larger than 100 MB each.

Procedure

  1. Open Trados Studio and log in with your cloud account.
  2. Go to Resources >Linguistic Resources >Termbases.
  3. Go to the Home tab, and from the Cloud Resources group, select Migrate to Cloud >Migrate Local Termbases to Cloud. The Migrate Local Termbases to Cloud wizard opens.
  4. In the File-based Termbases tab, add one or several TBs using the available options: Add File-based Termbases and Add File-based Termbases from Folder. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the files.
  5. Select Next.
  6. In the Cloud Termbases tab, in the grid:
    1. Under Termbase, for each termbase row, enter a termbase name.
    2. Select a cloud location (folder) where your TB will be stored. Under Location, for each termbase row, expand the drop-down list, and select the location (also known as folder or customer) where your termbase will be saved.
    3. Select cogwheel symbol, and in the Import settings dialog, add a description and a copyright. The Field Definition area is read-only. Select Save.
  7. Select Finish.
  8. Check the right-hand side Notifications panel until you receive a confirmation that your cloud TB has been successfully created. Select the View TBs in the cloud link and log in to Trados Team to check your cloud TB. A cloud TB is created for each local TB you uploaded in the wizard.
