- XML v2 file types, including AEM Sites XML (available only for Trados Enterprise)
- YAML:
*.yaml, *.yml
Procedure
- Open the appropriate file in Trados Online Editor.
- Select the View tab.
- Under Preview, select Preview Type, and then select one of the available preview types.
Note: The
Preview Type button is available only if there are multiple preview types configured on your environment for the file type, which is common for XML v2 file types.
For example, if you are translating an XML file from a project created in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and your administrator has enabled in-context preview for such files on your environment, you might be able to select either the standard Xml Node Tree preview type or the more advanced AEM Preview Extension preview type, which was created specifically for files originating from AEM. AEM preview capabilities are available only for Trados Enterprise.
- Select Preview Mode, and then select one of the available options:
- Side-by-side (shows the document preview on the right-hand side of the editor)
- Below (shows the document preview at the bottom of the editor).
- New Window (shows the preview pane as a separate window you can reposition, minimize, maximize, or move on a separate monitor)
- Disable Preview (hides the preview pane)
- At this point, you can:
- Check target segment edits in real time. When you edit a target segment in the editor, the segment is highlighted in green in the standard XML preview.
- Refresh the preview to ensure you see the latest version of the translated content.
- Disable the preview:
