Task and file monitoring
While the project is in progress, you can check the stage your project is in, the steps that are finished, and your file progress.
- Enabling and disabling live updates in the Stages tab
The Stages tab has an Auto refresh this page option which is toggled off by default. You can toggle on this option, so that you do not need to refresh your browser session manually to get the latest live updates. - Monitoring project tasks
You can access the current state of tasks (Stages tab) and a historical view of all the automated and human tasks (Task History tab) for all the started projects. - Consulting task details
You can consult the task details at any time to understand the context of that task better. Task details refer to information such as: task type, creation date, project, languages, word count or assigned user (owner). - Consulting task-related comments
You can consult the comments left on files by the people who worked on them as part of various tasks. The task-related comment can also be seen in the email notification sent to you when the previous task, which processed the file you are currently working on, is completed. - Filtering tasks
If you have more than one task assigned to you in your Inbox view, you can organize and prioritize your work by filtering your tasks according to: due date, task type, project, languages. - Accepting tasks
Before you can start working on a task, you must accept it. - Accepting tasks from Trados Online Editor
You can accept a task you are assigned to straight from Trados Online Editor, without the need to return to the Inbox view. - Rejecting tasks
You can reject the tasks you cannot work on. - Handling error tasks
Errors may occur at different points during the project life cycle. When an error occurs, you can repeat the task or re-submit the files which could not be processed. Access the Error task assigned to you from the Inbox view. - Consulting error details at task level
You can consult the details of error tasks or failed tasks. - Consulting error details at system level
You can consult the details of all the errors which occur during your session: timeouts, validation errors, network-related errors and so on. These error details make troubleshooting easier when you contact support or the technical team. - Handling automated verification checks
If enabled in the workflow, the Automated QA Check task runs after a completed Translation task or a completed Linguistic Review task. Learn how you can handle the verification messages which result from the Automated QA Check task. - Handling Bilingual Engineering tasks
The Bilingual Engineering task is meant for administrators, lead project managers, and project managers who need to make changes to the project files before being evaluated for quote purposes and before any translation activity can begin. - Check task iteration number
The Translation, Linguistic Review and Automated QA Check tasks can run several times, namely they can have more than one iteration, depending on the errors or problems identified. - Cancelling files
In some cases, you may not be able to troubleshoot the errors thrown by the system. In other cases, you may want to stop translating a file in a given target language. You can handle these situations by cancelling the files. - Opening tasks in Trados Online Editor
You can open human tasks in Trados Online Editor in read-only mode (if the task is not accepted) or in edit mode (if the task is accepted). - Opening tasks in Trados Studio
You can open human tasks in Trados Studio in edit mode if the tasks are accepted. - Downloading packages for tasks you own
You can send translators and reviewers packages which they can work on offline in Trados Studio. Access the Translate task or Linguistic Review task assigned to you from the Inbox view. - Uploading packages for tasks you own
After the translators or reviewers finish their offline work in Trados Studio, they send you a return package which you must upload to Trados Team. Access the Translate task or Linguistic Review task assigned to you from the Inbox view. Upload the package on their behalf. - Returning accepted tasks you cannot work on
If you accepted a task, but you decide that you cannot work on it anymore, you can return it (release it). In this case, the other users assigned to it can claim it (accept it) or the project manager can assign it to someone else. - Reassigning tasks to users for started projects
Workflow tasks correspond to the tasks users receive in their Inbox. Once a project is started, you can reassign users and groups to tasks. - Reclaiming workflow tasks from users for started projects
Once a project is started, you can reclaim accepted tasks from users. The latest assignees (users and groups) are reassigned to the tasks. - Rescheduling workflow tasks for started projects
You can reschedule the human tasks of started projects at any time. - Grouping tasks
When accessing tasks from a project's Stages tab, you can group tasks by various criteria. The grouping feature is available only if the list view is enabled in the Stages tab. - Grouping tasks in Inbox
When accessing tasks from the Inbox view, you can group tasks by various criteria in each of the three tabs. - Completing tasks
Once you finished working on the task assigned to you, mark it as Complete so it can move on to the next stage of the workflow automatically. Access the task assigned to you from the Inbox view. - Force completing tasks
If are an Administrator, Lead Project Manager, or Project Manager, you can force complete any project task, even those not assigned to you, from the project Stages tab, at any time. - Viewing completed tasks
When you view the list of completed tasks, only the tasks completed within the last three months are displayed. - File audit trail
File audit trail enables you to download the file versions generated for each step of the translation workflow, as well as a file history report. - Viewing information about project files
This information refers to content analysis, keywords, or file versions and applies both to source and target files. - Renaming files for started projects
You can rename the files of a started project from the Files sub-tab. You can rename files individually, as batch renaming is not available at the moment. - Downloading source files
You can download the source project files at any time. When you download the translatable files, you also download the reference files. - Downloading reference files
You can download the reference project files at any time. When you download the reference files, you also download the source files. - Downloading target files
You can download the target project files in native format at any time from your Inbox. You can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box). - Downloading the latest file version
You can download the latest version of a project file at any time. Depending on the workflow position the file fills, the download can result in the*.sdlxlifffile format or the native file format. You can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box). - Downloading all files in bulk from Inbox
You can batch download (bulk download) the source and target files corresponding to the tasks you accepted. You can also choose to download only completed files (by selecting the Only completed files check box). - Uploading files for all your accepted tasks
After you worked offline on the files corresponding to your accepted tasks, you can batch upload (bulk upload) them. You can replace files for tasks that have the same or different task types, from the same project or from different projects. File replacement is useful if the target files contain errors or if you have a new version of the target file you want to work on. - Downloading intermediate target files from Trados Online Editor
You can download the target file of your translation at any time from Trados Online Editor. An intermediate target file is a file for which translation, review or sign-off is still in progress.
