Trados Customer Portal for customer requesters
Customer requesters are customer representatives who are responsible for submitting translation projects via Trados Customer Portal.
Process
Trados Customer Portal is part of the main Trados Team platform and customer requesters use it to manage translation projects.
- Access Trados Team.
- Add a customer. The system automatically adds the Customer Requester group for each added customer.
- Add users in the Customer Requester group, so these users receive an invitation to log in to Trados Customer Portal.
- Create projects based on predefined project templates.
- Download translated content.
Trados Customer Portal is a convenient place to create translation projects because the entire hassle of setting up templates and resources is performed by account administrators, lead project managers or project managers on the main Trados Team platform—behind the scenes, but in sync with your specific requirements.
Your capabilities on the platform derive from a set of permissions already configured.
Types
There are two types of roles customer requesters can take: Customer Requester and Customer Requester Restricted. These 2 roles have the same set of permissions with one exception: visibility over peer projects. Users who have the Customer Requester role see their peers' projects in Trados Customer Portal (if they enable the Show projects created by my colleagues and include statistics for these projects in my dashboard user setting), while users who have the Customer Requester Restricted role do not see their peers' projects in Trados Customer Portal.
