Workflows
Workflows control which tasks are executed and in which order. They are also a part of the process of creating project templates and projects.
- Default workflow template
Trados Team provides 1 default or standard workflow template which can be used as is or adjusted to meet your specific process requirements. If you purchase the Generative Subtitling feature, you get another default workflow template called Generative Subtitle Translation for Team. - Setting up workflows
When you set up workflows for your project templates, you start from a workflow template which you configure in terms of language direction, tasks, and assignees. - Assigning users and groups to workflow tasks
You can assign users and groups to workflow tasks. Once the workflow reaches that particular task, the users assigned to it automatically receive a task in their Inbox and can start working. - Behavior of the Generative Translation task
The Generative Translation task is an Automated task which uses an LLM to translate content.AWS Bedrockis the embeddedLLMprovided by default by RWS. - Dynamic assignments in workflows
When configuring workflow assignments, use the Dynamic Assignment options to have your tasks automatically assigned to the specific group users depending on their specified service type and language. - Copying assignees across workflow tasks
You can copy assignees when creating or configuring workflows, project templates, and projects. - Workflow template display mode
When you open a workflow template in view or edit mode, you can switch between 4 display modes: Horizontal, Vertical, Hybrid, and Direct. - Viewing workflow transitions (outcomes)
When you hover over a task block, the incoming transition of the block is highlighted with pink color, while the exit transition of the block is highlighted with blue color. - Refreshing workflow templates
Refresh the workflow template to benefit from the latest updates in terms of tasks, configurations, and transitions (outcomes). - Filtering workflows
If you configured several workflows and would like to quickly identify a particular one, filter your workflow list by source language, target language or location. You can also search workflows by their names. - Editing workflows
You can edit the details of a workflow at any time. The changes you make to an existing workflow affect only the future project templates and projects it will be included in. Started projects are not affected by any of the changes you make to the workflow. - Copying workflows
You can create a new workflow template by copying an existing workflow template and adjusting it. - Deleting workflows
You can delete any workflow if the translation project associated with it has not been started. - Invalid workflows
Invalid workflows have an exclamation mark in front of them, showing that you need to edit their invalid details, so that they become valid once again. You cannot create project templates or projects which include invalid workflows.
