You can migrate local Trados Studio projects created from packages to cloud. Note that you can perform this operation from Projects view or from Manager view as well.
Procedure
- Open Trados Studio and log in with your cloud account.
- Go to the Projects view, and identify the local project created from a package which you want to convert to cloud.
- Select the Home tab, and in the Cloud Projects group, select Save to Cloud.
- In the Save to Cloud wizard:
- Enter a name for your cloud project.
- Specify a due date and time.
- Specify a project template. All the other fields get populated automatically with the details from the project template. You can change them, as shown in the next steps.
- Under Location, select a cloud folder where your cloud project will be saved. Alternatively, select New Customer to add a customer (folder) in the cloud environment.
- Select any available cloud resources or create new ones in the cloud environment.
- Select Next, and check your project details.
- Select Finish.
While your local package is converted to cloud, you cannot edit it.
- Check the Notifications panel, and select the Open in Language Cloud link to view your project in the cloud environment. The project is started automatically. The status of your project in Trados Studio is Package Saved to Cloud.
Tip: When you open the project in the cloud environment, you can notice that the project settings configured in Trados Studio are also visible in Trados Team. These project settings include: the possibility to edit source segments, penalties, penalty filters and hard filters, tag verification, and the possibility to update TM fields.
What to do next
After the project is translated in
Trados Team, go to
Trados Studio and create a return package.
