Content mashup

Content mashup is the ability to include content from Tridion Docs into Tridion Sites pages.

As Tridion Docs author, you can tag some of your topics, to have the content of these topics included in web pages published by Tridion Sites. This allows for mashing up, typically, marketing content with technical content.

From the Tridion Docs point of view, the mashup has three requirements:
  • The connector between Tridion Docs and Tridion Sites is enabled, for a taxonomy created in Tridion Sites to be imported in Tridion Docs. Instructions to enable the connector are located in the Content Manager configuration chapter of this documentation.
  • Taxonomy properties are configured, for a field containing the taxonomy terms to appear in your topics' properties dialog, in Publication Manager or in Organize Space. Your content actually needs three tags (we use the default names here, they can be customized):
    • The Product family name of the publication where your topic is published.
    • The Product release name of the publication where your topic is published.
    • The term you select in your topic's properties, named the Content reference type.
Instructions to implement taxonomy fields are located in the Content Manager API chapter of this documentation.
  • The tagged content is published to Dynamic Delivery, for the content to be distributed using the delivery platform shared by Tridion Docs and Tridion Sites: Content Delivery.
