Access Management functionality introduced in Tridion Docs 15.1

Tridion Docs 15.1 introduces enhancements to the Access Management application. In particular, Access Management now enables you to build an even more comprehensive Single Sign-On experience with granular control over who can access to your applications.

Compatibility level for a Microsoft SQL Server database
To maintain performance stability when upgrading the Access Management database, this release adds support for the Microsoft SQL Server compatibility level.
Specifically, support is for compatibility level 150 on both of the following database versions:
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2019
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2022
By default, the script to create and upgrade the database sets the compatibility level with no manual configuration necessary.
Client secret expiration can be longer than one year
Client secrets for service accounts have a configurable expiration date. Previously, Access Management limited the expiration period to no longer than one year. As of this release, the default duration for expiration continues to be one year, but now you can, if necessary, extend the duration to beyond one year.
Remember authentication choice
In our cloud environment, customers encounter multiple identity providers (IdPs), but the majority consistently use a single provider. To streamline the sign-in experience, we've introduced a new feature: the Remember my choice checkbox on the Sign in screen. The new checkbox enables users to save their preferred identity provider as the default for future logins.
Once a user selects an identity provider and checks the box, their choice is saved to a cookie. These cookies persist across sessions, ensuring that users don't need to reselect their preferred IdP each time they sign in.
Users can reset their choice by signing out or manually clearing their cookies. Additionally, opening the browser in incognito mode will bypass the saved preference.
