Adding the bookmap template

You can add the bookmap template to the Content Manager repository for users to apply when creating a bookmap.

Before you begin

  • You must be a member of the system administration user group.
  • You must have permission to edit and store objects in the Content Manager repository.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to Organize Space.
  2. To add a value to the list of values:
    1. Select the Settings tab, then the System subtab.
    2. Select the Lists of Values subsubtab.
    3. From the List of Values dropdown, select Map type.
      The list of map types appears.
    4. Select Add new.
    5. In the Add new value to "Map Type" window, add the name of the template in the Name field.
      For example, enter Bookmap.
    6. Optionally, add a Description which explains the proper use of the template.
    7. Click OK.
  3. Create the Bookmap template:
    1. In Organize Space, select the Content tab, then the Structure Content subtab.
    2. In the folder tree, go to System > Editor template > Maps.
    3. Select Add new > Map at top right.
      The Add new map dialog opens.
    4. On the left, under Maps, select Bookmap.
    5. On the right, Enter "Bookmap" in the Title field.
    6. Select the \InfoShare\Web\Author\EnterViaUI\System\Editor Templates\Maps\Bookmap.dita file.
      The file is located on your Content Manager application server. If you are on a client system, copy the file locally so you can select it.
  4. Release the Bookmap template so users can select it.
    1. In Organize Space, select the Content tab, then the Structure Content subtab.
    2. In the folder tree, go to System > Editor template > Maps.
    3. Select the Bookmap item.
    4. Open the Properties panel on the right.
    5. In the Workflow area, select Released from the Status dropdown list.
    6. Select Save to apply your changes.
