Can I determine from which server my publication is being accessed?

When using the Recent Publications option, it is possible to ensure from which system you are accessing the publication when more than one server has a publication with the same name.

Question: If I change my account to use a test server and work on it for a while, then change back to the production server and click on Recent Publications, I can open the publication from the test server when I think I am opening the publication from the production server. I would prefer to see only the recent publications from the server to which my account is set.

The easiest way to avoid this is by adding information to the account name or creating an account that helps to identify the system. When creating a new account, create an Account Name with identifying information. For example:
  • Account Name: testdocs
  • Account Name: productiondocs
In this case, the Recent Publications options would show, for example:
  • UserGuide v.1 en (testdocs)
  • UserGuide v.1 en (productiondocs)
