Client Tools changes (15.0.0)

This release includes several improvements to the desktop Client Tools.

Changes to the desktop Client Tools include the following:

Authentication through Access Management
The Client Tools have been upgraded in association with the Modern Authentication enhancement and, like other Content Manager applications, they now follow the OpenID Connect authentication protocol. User access to all client applications is configured in Access Management. When a client tool is launched, the user is redirected to the default browser to complete the authentication process
Better scaling
The user interfaces of all client tools have been optimized to support windows scaling, primarily when using a high DPI monitor.
Content Importer
Content Importer now has new command-line options that enable users to do the following:
  • Separate the convert and import phases
  • Sign in to Content Importer using a service account client ID and secret
Condition Manager
To update conditions, users can now use a familiar "check out" and "check in" approach rather than upload and download conditions.
Authoring Bridge
This release includes the following updates for compatibility with the latest third-party authoring tools:
  • Authoring Bridge for Oxygen now works with Syncro Soft Oxygen XML Author 25.x x64.
  • Authoring Bridge for XMetaL now works with JustSystems XMetaL 17.0 x64.
Note also that Authoring Bridge for Arbortext is no longer available as of this release.
