Enabling or disabling image upload

By default, image upload is enabled in Draft Space. You can disable this feature, or you can specify a preferred resolution for uploads.

In the file Admin.XMLCollectiveSpacesConfiguration.xml, by default, the enabled attribute of the imageupload element is set to yes. To disable the uploading of images, set it to no.

Also, in the same file, you can add a subelement called preferredresolution to the imageupload to specify the resolution in which you would prefer images to be uploaded. By default, the resolution value will be the one set for Preview resolution

Do one of the following:
  • On the Content Manager server, go to $\Author\EnterViaUI\ and open Admin.XMLCollectiveSpacesConfiguration.xml for editing.
  • In Organize Space, follow the tabs Settings > XML Settings > Collective Spaces. The XML configuration for Collective Spaces appears.

Find the draftspacesettings section and within it, the imageupload element.

Do one of the following:
  • To disable image uploads, change the value of the enabled attribute of the imageupload element from yes to no.
  • To set a preferred resolution for image uploads, insert a preferredresolution element within the imageupload element. Give this new element an ishvaluetype="element" attribute-value pair, and set its content to the resolution you prefer.
For example, if you want the images resolution to be set to High, and the element name of the resolution High is VRESHIGH, then change the draftspacesettings as follows:
<draftspacesettings>
		<imageupload enabled="yes">
			<!-- If not provided, the preferred upload resolution is taken from the settings preview resolution. -->
			<preferredresolution ishvaluetype="element">VRESHIGH</preferredresolution>
		</imageupload>
	</draftspacesettings>
