Publishing post translation
When you receive the translated files, you import them into the repository and release them. The translated files can then be used to publish the language versions of your documents.
Your publications should be ready to publish, configured with:
- Output type(s) with a fallback language.
In this scenario the fallback language is the source language, English.
The fallback language object is used for topics that are not translated or if the translation is not available.
In this scenario, the Notice is to remain in English. The fallback language is used for the Notice topic when publishing since it was not translated and other language versions are not available.
- Output types specifying the language to be published.
This can be seen in Publication Manager for the output format under Language combination.
- A condition specified for output type(s) (only if you used conditional text).
In this scenario, this was set for the topic How to install and configure the product that is only to be included in the Administration Guide publication.
The Administration Guide publication output type(s) should include the topic based on the condition whereas the User Guide publication output type(s) should exclude the topic.

Multiple output formats may be added for the publications. For example, you may want to output the Dutch language Administration Guide as CHM and PDF, while the English version you may want CHM, PDF, and Tridion Docs. In this case, you would add five (5) output formats for the Administration Guide publication\ and configured each as noted above.
