When the translated objects in a project are returned from the translator and ready to be published, you release the translations in each publication of the project, to ensure that they can no longer be modified.
About this task
Releasing translations for a project can also be done using the Translation Management report.
Procedure
- In Organize Space, go to .
- Locate the publication whose translations you want to be released.
- In the list of publications, double-click the publication to show the detail view.
The detail view shows all publication versions, and within each version, the available output formats.
- Select the version of the publication whose translation you want to release.
- Select Release translations in the button toolbar.
A Release translations dialog opens.
- By default, all target languages of this publication are selected through the checkbox LANGUAGES. To limit which target language objects get released based on their language, deselect this option and make a subselection of target languages.
- By default, all image resolutions of image object translations are selected. To limit which resolutions of translated images get released, remove any resolutions whose translations you don't want to release by selecting "X" for that resolution.
- Select Release.
Content Manager releases the selected translations in the background.
- Release steps 2-8 for any other publications in your translation project.
