Return on investment (ROI) for source content chart

The Return on investment (ROI) for source content chart shows the estimated value that Tridion Docs has produced over the selected period.

Each aggregation period shows two estimated costs: the cost without content reuse, and the cost with content reuse. The trend line shows the difference between the two, the ROI, over time. The chart is not live, but is synchronized periodically.

For Tridion Docs to be able to make these estimates, you must have set the following properties in the XML configuration for Metrics (found at Settings > XML Settings > Metrics) :
  • Estimated average time spent per object, in hours (an out-of-the-box Tridion Docs installation sets this property to the value 4)
  • Average amount of money spent per hour per employee (an out-of-the-box Tridion Docs installation sets this property to the value 80)

If either or both of these properties are not specified, Tridion Docs cannot display the chart and displays an error instead.
