Running a without conversion import

Import content, DITA or otherwise, already with well-formed metadata described inside .3sish files next to your source content. The objects and the metadata are directly imported in the specified Repository folders.

About this task

This type of import can be used for DITA content as well as any other type of content: PDF, Word, CHM, HTML, etc.

Procedure

  1. Start Content Importer.
Content Importer opens with the same account as the one you currently use for the other client tools, such as Publication Manager.
  2. In the Source content folder field, specify the path to the folder where your original content is located. You must have write permission to the folder. In case there are any artifact files left in the folder after previous import, a message with the option to delete these files appears.
  3. In the Target Repository folder field, specify the path to the Repository folder where your content must be imported. If the path does not exist in the Repository, it will be created by Content Importer.
  4. Select Import to proceed to the content import.
The import information is displayed: progression information and errors (if any).
