Synchronization with Dynamic Delivery
Specific metadata can be synchronized between Content Manager and Dynamic Delivery without republishing. Other changes require a republish.
From Content Manager, the UpdatePublicationMetadata background task can be run. A Publication Manager user can run this background task is by toggling the Remote status property of a Publication output of type Dynamic Delivery to Offline and then back to Online.
When the
UpdatePublicationMetadata background task runs, any changes to the following metadata that were made in Content Manager are applied to the Dynamic Delivery output:
- Publication status
- Product family name
- Product release name
- Publication output remote status
All other changes require a republish to the Dynamic Delivery output. This specifically includes:
- any changes to other metadata properties, including the Goal and Audience properties
- any changes to the baseline of the publication
- any changes to the content of the publications (maps, topics, images and so on)
- any changes to the Taxonomies configuration as found in Organize Space under
