Translation Manager errors

View the log files if the translation job goes into the failed status or the service crashes.

If the service does not start

Make sure the TRANSLATORSERVICE user role is created, and has the following transitions:
From StatusTo Status
To be translatedIn translation
In translationTranslation in review
In translationTranslation approved
Translation in reviewTranslation approved
Translation in reviewTranslation rejected
Translation rejectedIn translation

If the translation job goes into the failed status

  • Check the log file in Organize Space for details about the job:
    • Select the Events tab.
    • Select Show Failed at the top.
    • Select the translation job from the list.
    • For a detailed view, select Verbose
    • For a detailed view of an event (action) in the lower right pane, click the event. An Event Details window opens.
  • Check the Event Log from the Organize Space repository:
    • Go to Content > Translation Jobs
    • Select the job from the list, then click Properties on the menu bar. A Translation Jobs Properties window displays.
    • Select the Event Log tab.
Check the server side log files:

If the service crashes

Check the details in Windows event log, and in the server side log files (see above for location).
