Translation scenario

This scenario is one that describes different requirements for translation and how you can manage them.

The Scenario
  • Your source language is English.
  • You have a map containing four (4) topics (described below).
  • The map is being used in two publications (described below).
Translation configuration
The Translation configuration settings (found in Organize Space under Settings > XML Settings > Translations) contain the following XML source-target language settings:

The Publications
  • A User Guide which when published, must include three of the four topics referenced in the map.
  • An Administration Guide which when published, must include all four topics referenced in the map.
The Consumers
  • An IT group in Belgium who require the Administration Guide in Dutch.
  • Users in Belgium, Germany, and the UK who require the User Guide in Dutch, German, and English respectively.
