Unknown username or bad password

Login fails because an unknown username or bad password was entered.

Problem

The user sees the following error:
Logon failure: unknown username or bad password

Explanation

The account does not exist or the password is wrong.

Resolution

If the account does not exist, create the Content Manager user account. The Content Manager user account is described in the installation documents.

If the account exists, change the password. Refer to information about the password or user name locations.
