Editing a Promotion

Use Experience Manager to validate whether your Promotion behaves as intended. If required, return to the Targeting Dashboard and modify the Promotion to refine its behavior.

Before you begin

You can only edit a Promotion if you have Content Manager access rights to the selected Publication, as determined by your system administrator. You can however edit the Promotion and change the Publication to which you do have access rights.

Procedure

  1. In the slide out navigation pane, select Targeting.

    The Targeting Dashboard appears.

  2. In the Source drop-down menu:
    1. Select a environment for which you want to manage Promotions.
For example, you will typically have a "Staging" environment and a "Live" environment:
      • Staging is an environment that is available only to internal users and is where you develop and test targeting functionality and new promotional content. On this environment, you can use Experience Manager for inline editing and testing.
      • Live is your external, public-facing environment where visitors can access your production content.
    2. Click the Promotions tab to view the list of Promotions available for the environment.
A list of Promotions for which you have Manage Promotions rights is displayed.
