Editing all fields of a Component

To edit all fields of a Component, even those that do not appear on the webpage, use the All Fields dialog, available from the Component's Properties panel.

Procedure

  1. On an editable webpage, start editing by clicking the pencil button in the top right corner.
  2. Select the border of the Component whose fields you want to edit, and do one of the following:
    • Click the Show Properties border button that appears in the top right corner.
    • Click Properties in the Home ribbon tool bar tab.
The properties of the Component appear in a popup.
  3. Find the area called All Fields and click the Edit button. If you see a Show button instead an Edit button, you either have no permissions to edit the fields, or another user is editing the fields already.
A dialog opens, showing the fields of this Component as a form.
  4. Edit the Component fields in the form. The editing controls are similar to your editing controls on the webpage, with the following exceptions:
    Editing a selection

Selection controls may display as a select box, drop-down list or as radio buttons. Mutlivalue selection controls may display as check boxes.

Creating a new Keyword and adding it to a selection field

If you are sufficiently authorized, you can create and add a Keyword by clicking the Add button next to the selection control.

Adding, moving or removing items in a multivalue field

The controls for adding or removing items in a multivalue field appear to the left of each item in the multivalue field. To move items around, click the Move button, which changes your mouse pointer into a move icon, and drag the item to its desired new location in the list.

  5. When you are finished, select Save and Close at bottom right.
